Research

Finally, we have six research diaries from both male and female about using cosmetic products and getting ready and how they feel about looking at themselves from different angles. It was very fashion sensitive questions and required many photos of their private place such as bedroom and bathroom.
Except one, five of six said that they aware of their looking from the other angle than they look at the normal mirror. Women have more concerns about their cosmetic products while men are more on the mirror. But both men and women have similar amount of interest on mirror since they spend most of time getting ready in front of mirror.

Reflections on the Project so far

We intereviewed a couple of Males getting ready to go out. We found they often have issues with using the mirrors. This seams to be a common problem of both genders. Because of this we think we would like to focus on a project adressing using mirrors to get ready in the home.

Although we have not come to any conclusive solutions we believe we can better address the needs of self reflection. We plan to research more deeply into the angle of viewing ones reflection using standard mirror solutions. We also plan to look into the domain of cataloging photographs during the 'getting ready' process for later review.

We will be finalizing our user survey journals over the next few days and plan to have feedback by the end of spring break.
